of Polished Silver Jewelry
Sherry Tinsman pieces are oxidized before they are a complete piece, creating a contrast between the darkened (oxidized) surface and highly polished areas. The recessed parts of the design carry the darkened color and let the raised parts gleam.
Avoid using liquid cleaner on these pieces because it will remove all the oxidation. Rather, use a dry silver polishing cloth to restore the sparkle and store your pieces in a zip lock bag to keep them shiny and bright.
Sherry's Tinsman Jewelry is sterling silver and 14k gold with occasional brass and copper highlights. It has a natural organic look and feel to it. Artist Sherry Tinsman loves to do subtle rounded edges for the dogwoods and roses giving a natural flow and softness to her work.
She likes to use 14k gold post for strength and she solders every jump ring and oxidizes the silver because it really shows up the form and character of the piece. She hand signs or solders her signature “Sherry Tinsman” on each piece.
Most bracelets and necklaces are adjustable.
